In September last year , i have been commissioned per sietemedia.com.mx , to work on an installation place in the lounge area of the UNESCO forum , taking place in Monterey ( Mexico). Sietemedia was in charge of the multimedia part of several place in the forum and they had already an idee , the goal of the installation was to bring people to participate to the event. They imagined a system alowing people to draw by hand on a sand table , a light was place under this table , and a camera on the roof shooting the light drawing , then it was project on a circular screen. Sietemedia gave to me a total freedom to interpret the drawing . I wasn’t very happy of the constraint first, but after several day of brainstorming i had the idee to use a simple feedback effect, inspire from the treeback patch from vvvv to create nice mandala like patern based on the drawing of the people, the result was interesting at my eyes so i did realise it…
